Season 5 Announcement
Hello all and Welcome to Season 5 of Analog By Choice! In this milestone season, we are bringing great music, programs, audience engagement, and more while also shaking things up. We can’t wait to welcome you to this new season of music making!
Our mission from the very beginning has been to bring great chamber music to audiences by using our alphabet-themed programming to highlight unknown or underrepresented composers alongside their famous contemporaries and connecting with audiences through unique engagement activities. As we look ahead at this new season and reflect on our past four years, I feel that we have gained clarity on how we can best accomplish these goals.
While reflecting on what this next chapter of ABC should look like, one theme kept coming up over and over; the value of creating meaningful experiences for veteran and novice audiences alike. To best achieve this, we have developed a renewed focus on the interaction between audience and music for each of our programs. Prioritizing the musical experience at this point means adjusting the way we approach our alphabet themes. Instead of a single letter dedicated to each concert, each season will now encompass a range of letters honoring our roots while adjusting to the needs of our audiences. This change will better enable ABC to create programs that connect with our audiences and allow for engagement with this great music.
In our first four years, we have focused on performing in our local Boston area. This season, we look forward to continuing creating music here at home while also venturing further to bring our unique programs to people around New England and beyond. This expansion goes hand in hand with our new house concert series, Bach Bites, which combines food and music in a more intimate setting.
This season, we are proud to offer three unique programs entitled Marejada, Sounding Point, and Break Away. These programs explore themes of nature and the elements, place and belonging, and the power/limits of tradition respectively. I am so excited to share each one with you and dive into this incredible music so pull up a chair, settle in, and welcome to Season 5!
